Chosen

'Chosen' is one of 2 participative drama films that were produced as part of the 'The Mysteries: In Our Own Words' festival in 2009. The film itself is a modern day interpretation of The annunciation and The Nativity as told in the New Testament. 'Chosen' was devised and scripted by a large group of young people in Coventry and weaves together parallel narratives of the historical story of the Nativity (as told through a school Nativity play), with a more urban portrayl of a modern-day Mary. The resulting film is a compelling insight into how the Immaculate Conception may have been received in an inner-city estate today!
