The Plasti-scene Plays
A series of innovative new participative animation films produced by mental health service users across the West Midlands. 'Beyond Labels', 'Dexter' and 'Cardboard Clocks' form the basis of a refreshingly new approach to creatively working with issues surrounding mental health. The work also includes a poem, 'Depression', in addition to the three animations.
Scripted, animated and narrated by service users themselves, 'The Plasti-Scene Plays' serves to add a personal voice to the issues of the depiction of mental health, one which is filled with both joy and sorrow but ultimately hope and promise.
