Dear Diary...Today I Had A Baby

Led by a group of 6 young women from Sure Start's young parents group, 'Dear Diary...Today I had a baby!' is a 10 minute documentary film which serves to counteract the vast body of existing text which views teenage parenting in a negative and prejudiced light. By going against the grain of current stereotypes, 'Dear Diary...' portrays young women who are positively experiencing their lives as young parents.

Through open, honest and insightful interviews, 'Dear Diary...' reflects the experiences of a group of teenage parents who want to speak out against unjust and unfair stereotypes, whilst in the process, recounting memories that put a human touch to the miracle nature of childbirth.
