A Place To Stay

'A Place To Stay' is a vibrant, engaging and thought-provoking music video which was participatively produced with a large group of young people from Doorway, an independent charity based in North Warwickshire who offer practical and emotional support to young, hard to reach, homeless people. The project involved the young people working with composers, choreographers, M.C’s, grafitti artists and filmmakers to produce a music video which was aimed at challenging and confronting many commonly held stereotypes associated with youth homelessness. The project was aimed at helping the group to develop confidence and increase self-esteem; raise personal aspirations and encourage involvement in group activities. The completed music video, 'A Place To Stay', was screened to a packed audience at the Odeon Cinema in Nuneaton and has been met with wider critical acclaim.

“There have been so many instances where I have been so moved to witness the young people growing…This music video has not just fulfilled the project outcomes, it has helped the young people to challenge themselves and achieve the things they never imagined were possible.”
