Petition misses the target

Time Essex's petition 'Help save the Community Arts Workshop' has been on the Government's Number 10 website for the past 12 months. By the deadline of March 23rd it had received 181 votes. (But see note at bottom of page.) This unfortunately means that it failed to get enough votes to require the Government to respond.

The fight to secure the future of The Old Gallery will continue despite this small setback. More than ever we need your support in progressing this with local and national government and all interested parties, with the aim of getting the landlord (Warwick District Council) to recognise the value of this resource to the community.

Please continue to push this issue with local Councillors, MPs, and anyone else who can help.

Note

When we looked at the Number 10 website today, 26th March, we saw two different counts of the votes: 159 on the search page and 181 on the 'Save CAW' petition page. Using another PC we the saw a count of 146! A number of people have commented that their names didn't seem to appear on the list, so we've written to the website people asking if they're sure that there aren't any missing votes.
